Andrew Bird | Music Composer

Ask me anything   A musician and composer from the UK.
Not to be confused with the Basketball player, the amazing USA multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird or the Newcastle-Based DJ.

Andrew has been making music since the early nineties and developing and producing artists for over 15 years.

His first two solo albums, "Voyage" and "Lift" were released in the days of Tape and CD and a decade of pop and punk bands, solo artist and folk production followed.

Upon wrapping up the studio New Zealand, Andrew returns to his roots of 70's electronica, orchestral, folk and percussion.

Here is some information on the current releases :)

Happy days!

Bliss is the the 4th solo album by the UK/NZ multi-instrumentalist and producer Andrew Bird.  Not to be confused with the Basketball Player, the brilliant USA Folk Multi Instrumentalist Musician (http://www.andrewbird.net) or the UK DJ.

“Bliss” is mainly an epic electronic and soundscape affair but roots of english folk, electronica, orchestral and plenty of percussion can be heard and felt.
Having produced hundreds of folk and pop artists in NZ for a decade (including Esther Mitchell, Raylee Bradfield and Dan Bedingfield), Andrew returns to original form, last heard in zygotic phase his previous albums, “Lift” (1997) and “Voyage” (1994) which were released on tape and CD.  The Robotronic EP, released in 2010 was a fun little story of the birth, life and death of a robot and a challenge to produce music mainly by step writing instead of writing with piano and music notation.
